Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The work of O'Dell in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
