Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. After a brief stint as a model for fashion before moving into acting by appearing as guest actors on television shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. The first time she appeared in film was her role in the 1997 drama Nowhere. The actress made her way to important roles thanks to her performance in American Beauty for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered her wider attention. After that, she was as a co-star in Loser (2000) along with the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Her appearances were in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. She also starred in the HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The drama was popular in 2004 and in 2005, the Screen Actors Guild nominated her as one of the outstanding stars. In 2008, she was featured in various films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous fashion blogs and magazines and blogs, such as Vogue. Suvari is also a Lancome model and appears on the advertisements printed of Lancome Paris Adaptive. She's been an advocate for and champion to the African Medical and Research Foundation.
